April Glorious Mysteries Begin

FAMILY MISSION

We wrapped up March & Sorrowful Mysteries by learning about or doing Stations of the Cross. The youngest learned about Saint Patrick since it was March 17th, and we prayed St. Patrick’s Breastplate prayer.

In April we begin the Glorious Mysteries with The Resurrection and Ascension, and since we have 2 weeks of family sessions in a row, April 14 and 21, we’d like to provide the Family Mission for this lesson now, since the videos are timely for this week after Easter.

Family At-Home Mission Activity

Your Family At-Home Mission is to watch together as a family the video(s) that are appropriate for your children’s age level, read the 50 Ways to Celebrate the 50 Days of Easter with Your Children article, and create your Family’s Plan for Living the Easter Season.

Step 1: Watch, together as a family, the video(s) that are appropriate for your children’s age level.

Step 2:

Read 50 Ways to Celebrate the 50 Days of Easter with Your Children and create your Family’s Plan for Living the Easter Season! Pick 1 or 2 things to try.

Divine Mercy Sunday:

The second Sunday of Easter is Divine Mercy Sunday, which was instituted by Pope St. John Paul II at the urging of the Lord Jesus in His encounters with St. Faustina. What a great day and season to celebrate the Lord’s mercy! As we read in the Gospel of John last session, one of the first things the Risen Jesus does is breathe the Holy Spirit upon the Apostles and give them the power to forgive sins. The Lord desires greatly that we experience His mercy in the Sacrament of Penance and Reconciliation and trust in Him!

For a fun way to celebrate, check out Divine Mercy Sundae!

Enjoy the spring break and remember to get those eclipse glasses for next Monday as we experience the rare event of being in the path of totality! Creator God, you amaze us with your celestial phenomenon..
