Feb 11, 2024 The Last Supper, Agony in the Garden, Ash Wed & Shadow Stations Dates to Know.

This week we read a bit from Luke 22: 1-20, The plot against Jesus, Judas agrees to betray Jesus, Jesus prepares to eat the Passover meal, and The Last Supper. In Luke 22:14 we start to read about the Passover meal and Last Supper that Jesus had with his apostles. It is the beginning of Jesus’ sacrifice as the Lamb of God who lays down His life for us. We talked about some of the things that Jesus said and did at the Last Supper that the priest does and says at Mass. We also talked about how the disciples tried to stay awake and pray with Jesus in the Garden of Olives and how we can sit and pray quietly beside Jesus at adoration.
