See the attachement below for the whole document for Moses Week 2 Family Mission, but we like to simplify it a bit for busy families, 'cause there's a lot in there. At minimum, please do the following together with your family next 2 weeks:
Make a Family Lenten Plan: Start thinking about and discussing what you will do for Lent and make a Family Lenten Plan. There are so many possibilities! We look forward to hearing what you've chosen to do, or what your family traditions are. At last gathering, we sent home the CRS (Catholic Relief Services) Rice Bowl and Calendar with some ideas and a place to start. Also, our church is going to be collecting paper products and other things for our local Catholic Charities during March. For additional ideas, go to the link listed below about Fasting, Giving, and Praying. These are known as the “three pillars of Lent”. They are connected to the Corporal and Spiritual Works of Mercy. We will collect the CRS Rice Bowl money up to April about 16, which is the 1st FF gathering after Easter. We will share Lenten plans at table discussions next time.

2. Watch Ash Wednesday Video Together on or before Ash Wednesday, which is February 22nd this year. I will also send a link in a flocknote text and email reminders next week for the videos. Ash Wednesday services are 8:30 am in Attica at St. Vincent’s site and 7pm in Varysburg at St. Joseph’s site.
Watch one or both of the videos on Lent together as a family to prepare for Ash Wednesday and Lent!
3. Ongoing Prayer Space Activity: This month we are adding a crucifix or a sacramental, like a rosary, Miraculous Medal, scapular, or holy water if you don’t already have something like that displayed there. If you haven’t yet arranged a prayer space in your home, Lent is the perfect time! Bring a picture of your space or bring the special item to share at our next gathering.
Next Gathering: February 26th at St. Joseph’s site in Varysburg starting with 9:30am mass, Family Formation and snack ending at 12pm please bring a small dish to pass and bible.
