May Crowning at Home

This weekend we are celebrating the Fourth Sunday of EASTER.

This day is marked with significant events:

It is also known as The Good Shepherd Sunday, where we reflect on Jesus as a Good and Faithful Shepherd who protects and cares for us.

Today is also a World Day of Prayer for Vocations, we are invited to pray for vocations to the priesthood and religious life.


In a special way, we begin the Month of May with the Crowning of Mary. May is considered the month of Our Blessed Mother. There are numerous feast days in this month dedicated to Our Lady. We will be crowning her at mass with flowers to signify her as Queen of Heaven and Mother of God. We do this because it offers us a chance to reflect on Mary’s role in the history of Salvation. We are encouraged to recite a daily rosary as a family or individually. Let us ask Mary, Our Lady of Good Health to intercede for our community and the whole world during this difficult time.
