Paschal Candle Wrapper

So we did not have quite enough time to wrap up our session on the 1st Glorious Mystery, The Resurrection. During the Easter Season, which is 50 days after the resurrection, the Paschal candle is lit during Mass. A new candle is prepared each Easter Vigil for the new year. Here's a little video about it and instructions for converting your family votive candle into a Paschal candle at home.

There were copies of a wrapper for your home votive candles on the tables. Here's some pics of what to do. You can add whole cloves for the "nails". If you don't have a candle, we have extras.

Once you cut it out, write 2 0 2 4 in the spaces around the cross and tape it to the candle after removing it from the protective sleeve. To add the optional cloves, pierce the yellow circles on the cross. Cloves can be brittle and might break.

That's all there is to it!

Here's the link to get the printable wrapper. I'll bring the extras next week too.
