Our last gathering for Family Service and Fun Night, the youth brainstormed some ideas about how to help the community inspired by the Works of Mercy. See below for their ideas.
Then we made Valentines for folks in hospitals and nursing homes, and then shoveled snow out of neighborhood walk ways. It was about 9 degrees, so we were well dressed and kept it short - but our shovelers wanted to stay out longer. Thanks so much! Also few folks and kids drove to the Attica Blessing Box to deliver the 6 or 7 bags of groceries we collected. When discussing this Blessing Box, folks who are in the know say the food doesn't stay in there long. Many people in the area are in need and may go there regularly.
After that, we blew off some steam in the gym with 4 Square and running around in general. We are so glad to have this space to play in during these cold winter days!

May we be caring people who open our hearts to the needs of other people in our lives.

Valentines for Nursing Home, Children in Hospital and Veterans
Our Valentines went to East Side Nursing Home, The Batavia Veterans Home and Golisano Children's Hospital. Beautiful! Well Done! Taking care of others, " glorifying the Lord by your life."
