Spring Schedule Living Nativity & Adoration Follow Up

Real Presence of Jesus and Eucharistic Adoration

“A voice of one crying out in the desert: “Prepare the way of the Lord, make straight his paths””. Lk3:4

The 2nd Sunday of advent gospel reading has John the Baptist repeating the words of the prophet Isaiah that we should “Prepare the way of the Lord”. Our opening activity focused on some of the ways our youth can “Be Prepared”: praying, listening to God, obeying parents, reading Bible and stories, telling others about Jesus, memorizing Bible verses, not swearing, not lying, visiting older relatives, Christian music, doing kind things, donating money, donating clothes, donating food, donating time, helping at church, helping with our Living Nativity and more.

This evening our littlest ones heard the story of the Angel Gabriel coming to Mary, who told her she will have a son and to name him Jesus. They also watched a short video of an older sister explaining to her younger brother what Eucharistic Adoration is. It’s super cute and I’ll put the link below.

"What is Adoration"

Our middle and high school students, in addition to learning and discussing all things adoration, also learned about St. Mary Margaret Alocoque. She is attributed to the devotion of Eucharistic adoration.

The HS youth have a homework info sheet about her, and one on The Magnificat Prayer.
